HERNDON -- Nathan A. Adams, 88, of Susquehanna Lutheran Village, Millersburg, formerly of Herndon RD, died Tuesday in the village.
He retired as a steelworker from Bethlehem Steel Corp., was a retired farmer and a member of David's United Church of Christ, Hebe, Pillow Fire Company, the Dauphin County Fireman's Association and United Steelworkers.
He was the widow of Mabel I. Shaffer Adams. Surviving are six sons, Melvin of Herndon RD 2, Jack, Robert and Steve, all of Herndon RD 1, Roy of Sunbury RD 3 and Jeffry of Dornsife RD 1; five daughters, Leona Monzuse of Riverside, Calif., Shirley Jimison of Port Trevorton, Patricia Byle of Powder Springs, Ga., Linda Leach of Sunbury RD 1 and Bonnie Klinger of Dornsife RD 1; three sisters, Fay Morgan of Gratz, and Eva King and Martha Snyder, both of Lykens; 29 grandchildren; 31 great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandchild.
Services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday in St. Paul United Church of Christ, Urban. Burial will be in David's Church Cemetery, Hebe.
Viewing will be from 7 to 9 p.m. Friday in Reed Funeral Home, Pillow, and 9 to 10 a.m. Saturday in the church.
Memorial donations may be made to the memorial fund of David's Church, RD, Herndon 17830.
