Marjorie Nelson, age 92, passed away peacefully, November 15, 2012 in her daughter's home, where she was lovingly cared for the last two months of her life.

She was born March 29, 1920 in Henderson, Utah to Lorenzo Michael and Cassie Lucretia Adair Elder. She lived in Orem, Utah most of her life. She married the love of her life Vernon Winford Nelson on June 28, 1944 in the Salt Lake Temple.

She was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints serving in many callings in the Primary, Relief Society, Sunday School and with her husband as Dance Directors. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and friend. She was an example for good to all who knew her. She enjoyed dancing, camping at Pine Lake, gardening, quilting, scrapbooking, canning and spending time with family and friends. She will surely be missed.

She is survived by her sisters and brother, Juanita (Pete) Peterson, Rena Mae (Norm) Taylor and Gordon (Myra) Elder, her children, Vernon J (Carol), Karen (Laurence) Dunn, Stanley (Frankie), Stella (Bruce) Myler, and Cory (Gorety). She has 21 grandchildren and 35 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, brothers Dee and Stanley, sisters Cassie, Kathleen and step-mother Catherine, two sons, Larry and Karl, and two grandchildren, Karlee and Justin.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, November 24, 2012 at the Orem Geneva Heights 6th Ward Chapel, 590 North 900 West, Orem, Utah. Friends may call at the Berg Mortuary of Orem, 500 North State Street, Friday evening from 6 until 8 and at the church Saturday from 9:30-10:45 a.m. prior to services. Interment will be in the Orem City Cemetery.
