OBITUARY
Thoman Arthur Patton wan born Sept. 13, 1869 and departed this lIfe October 7, 1938 at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Zelma Barker. of near
Stella. Age 69 years and 24 days.
He was united in marriage to Miss Frona Birkes 14 Nov. 1894.
To this union was born eight children, three of whom preceded him in death.
He leaves to mourn his loss his wife, Mrs. Frona Patton, three daughters and two sons. Floyd Patton of Modesto. Calif., Mrs Zelma Barker, Mrs Ruby Linton and Mrs Marie Linton, all of Stella and Horace Patton of DeValls Bluff, Ark. three sisters and one brother: seventeen grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends.
Mr. Patton has been afflicted for over 20 years but bedfast only about
three month. He was always thoughtful of others and very patient. even
though he suffered so most of the time.
He was a Christian in a true sense the word. We have heard him say many times he was ready and willing to go at lis Master's call.
Funeral services were conducted by J. S. McQueen Oct. 8 and the body laid to rest in the Concord Cemetery under the direction of the Williams Funeral Home.
