CLAYTON Charles J.
Fluckiger, 72, of 629 Theresa
St., died at his home this
morning. He had been in failing
health several years.
He is survived by his widow
Mrs. Marion Fluckiger, a
daughter, Mrs. Robert (Carol)
Williams, Fords, N.J.; two
brothers, Luther, of Reno,
Nev., and Gerald; Rochester;
a sister, Mrs. Glen (Kathryn)
Argersinger, Clayton, and
four grandchildren. A brother,
Urban Fluckiger predeceased
him.
Born in Clayton Jan. 3,
1901, son of Joseph and Effie
Robbins Fluckiger, he attended
Clayton schools and married
Marion E. Eckert May
14, 1925, at Bethany Methodist
Church parsonage, Watertown.
He was employed 18 years
as a caretaker by Alex Mcintosh
and worked as a fishing guide in
later years until
retiring due to ill health.
He was a member of the
Clayton Masonic Lodge and
the Clayton Baptist Church.
The funeral will be Friday
at 11 a.m. at the Cummings
Funeral Home, Clayton, Rev.
Robert Mowatt, pastor, Clayton
Baptist Church, officiating.
Burial will be in Clayton
Cemetery.
Friends may call at the funeral
home from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9
pm Thursday.
