Frank J. Hoerth, 71, of 521 Memorial Drive, Chilton, died unexpectedly at his home Wednesday, November 7, after an apparent heart attack.

He was born May 11, 1908 in Parish, Arkansas, son of Frank and Appolonia Gack Hoerth. On September 5, 1939, he married Adeline Viet at Chilton. The couple farmed in the town of Chilton until their retirement in 1973.

He was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church, Chilton, the parish Holy Name Society, St. Joseph Society, Catholic Order of Foresters and the Chilton Senior Citizens.

Survivor are his wife; a daughter, Mrs. Peter (Pat) Woelfel, Route 1, Chilton; three sisters, Mrs. Anna McCabe of Wausau, Miss Mary Hoerth and Mrs. Celia Thielke, both of Suring; a stepsister, Mrs. Betty Burkart of Exxon, Pa.; a brother, Herman Hoerth of Suring; a stepbrother, Joseph Becker of Milwaukee; six grandchildren. He was preceded in death by two stepbrothers.

A funeral Mass was offered by Rev. Paul Brick at St. Mary Catholic Church. Burial was in the parish cemetery.
