Donald C. Frederick, 81, died Monday, November 19, 2012 at Ashton Creek Health and Rehabilitation Center, Fort Wayne.

Born in Allen County, he was the son of the late William and Hazel Frederick.

He served his country in the US Air Force during the Korean War and was a member of Masonic Lodge 210, Fremont, Scottish Rite, and the Shriners.

He made over 385 trips transporting children to the Shriner Children's Hospital. He retired from Rea Magnet Wire after 36 years and was also employed at Toolcraft, Inc. for 10 years.

He is survived by his daughters, Sheryl (Brian) Klein and Wendy Walker both of Fort Wayne; siblings, Darwin (Kate) Frederick of Van Wert, Ohio, Dallas (Sharon) Frederick of Bloomfield, and Audrey Grabner of Roanoke; seven grandchildren; six great grandchildren; and special friend, Joyce Frederick.

He was preceded in death by his daughter, Sandy Smith; and brothers, Ralph and Howard Frederick.

Memorial service is 11 a.m. Saturday, November 24, 2012 at E. Harper & Son Funeral Home, 740 St. Rd. 930 E., New Haven with calling one hour prior to service. Rev. Deb Davis officiating.

Burial in Concordia Cemetery Gardens, Fort Wayne.

Preferred memorials are to Shriner Children's Hospital.
