Edward Burdett Annett, Jr. president of Annett Industrial Sales died of pulmonary Fibrosis Wednesday at Hospice of Cincinnati in Blue Ash. The Terrace Park resident was 78.
For many years, Mr. Annett was a manufacturer's representative for electrical equipment. In 1992, he retired from the business.

Mr. Annett had a love for his family and the church, relatives said. "He was the organizer of the family events on holidays and special occasions. We rallied around his spirit," said a son. Lawrence Annett of Hyde Park.
The elder Mr. Annett was a member of St. Thomas Episcopal Church in Terrace Park, where he served as a vestryman, choir member and Scout master for Troop No. 286.

Mr. Annett played trombone as a member of the Terrace Park Sometimes Marching Band. Offices he had held included board director of Terrace Park Country Club and president of Mariemont Kiwanis. He was a Third Degree Mason and a member of the Instrument Society of America and Institute of Electronic/Electrical Engineers.
Mr. Annett had served in the Naval Reserve as a lieutenant commander.

A native of Maplewood, NJ, he earned a degree from Lehigh University in 1941. He was a member of Pi Kappa Alpha Fraternity and a former regional president of Leigh Alumni Association.

Other survivors include: his wife of 56 years, Mary Annett; three sons, Edward III of Terrace Park, Richard Annett of Hudson, Ohio; two brothers, Charles Annett II of Leesburg, FL, and William Annett of Flemington, NJ; two sisters, Ella Hyde of Vero Beach, FL., and Jean Hochuli of Pittsford, NY, and six grandchildren.
