Funeral At Fillmore Today For Mrs. Rufus Sanders, Lifelong Resident
Funeral services were conducted at 2 p.m. today, Thursday, at Allen-Miller funeral home in Fillmore by the Rev. Harry McCollum, Baptist minister, for Mrs. Greta (Lange) Sanders, 80, wife of Rufus A. Sanders, who died Tuesday. Burial was in Glendale cemetery.
Mrs. Sanders death occurred at 4 a.m. at Hillsboro hospital where she had been a patient for six days. Prior to that she had been cared for at Hillsboro Southtown nursing home.
A lifelong resident of the Fillmore community she was born July 26, 1894 near Bost Hill, west of Fillmore, a daughter of Henry and Maria (Troutman) Lange. She wed Rufus Sanders at Fillmore Nov. 3, 1931, and she had since resided in that community. She was a 50-member of Royal Neighbors lodge and a member of Bost Hill Lutheran Church.
Surviving are her husband, who at 96 is Fillmore's elders citizen, and a brother, Fred Lange of Trenton, Mich.
