Mrs. Effie Ann Vanderstar of Route 1, Dafter, died at 5 p.m. Jan. 30 at War Memorial Hospital. She had been ill for the past month. Born April 23, 1883, St. Joseph Island, Ont., she was married at Hilton Beach there Nov. 7, 1901. She had lived at Dafter for the past year, following 57 years of residing in Fibre.
Mrs. Vanderstar is survived by her husband, Gerald; three sons, Charles of Naubinway, James of Dafter and Elwin of Scottsville; three daughters, Mrs. Tim(Nellie)Flynn of the Sault,Mrs. J.R.(Mable)Covington of Nashville, Tenn. and Mrs. Harold(Myrtle)Porter of Michigan City, Ind.; 20 grandchildren and 31 great grandchildren.
Friends may call at the Bailey-Newhouse Funeral Home beginning today. Funeral service will be Tuesday at 1:30 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be in Kinross Cemetery in the spring.
