Betty A. Bullock of Denton died Thursday, Nov. 15, 2012 at the Memorial Hospital in Easton. Betty's life began on March 29, 1926 as she was born to her loving parents, the late Ernest and Beatrice Erskine Asche. In 1941, she and her parents moved to Denton where she graduated from Caroline High School, a proud member of the Class of 1943. On Jan. 19, 1945 she married Harold S. Bullock and they enjoyed a full life in Denton; later retiring to their home on the family farm in Tuckahoe Neck. Betty valued her career and many friends in the court house retiring in 1979 as the Chief Deputy of the Caroline County Clerk's office. She was a past member of the Caroline County Business and Professional Women. Upon retirement, Betty enjoyed and created an endless number of beautiful crafts that she loved to share with others. She collected dolls and always looked forward to her monthly meetings with her doll club friends, "Reflections". Betty had a great faith and enjoyed services and visiting with neighbors at Thawley's Chapel. Betty lost her husband in 2009, but felt blessed to be surrounded by a host of loving cousins, nieces, nephews, friends, and caregiver, Tammy Corkell. Betty did not have children, however she loved her "special family" Vincent, Becky, Brice and Will Manship who she called her own and who affectionately renamed her "Peppy".
