OBITUARY

BARRETT, Florence Melba - 90, Munroe Lodge, Truro, passed away peacefully on Sunday, April 22, 2007, in Munroe Lodge. Born in Truro, she was a daughter of the late James Murray and Jean (Kent) Ogilvie. She was a member of Immanuel Baptist Church, Truro, the Ladies Bible Study, the Ladies Prayer Group and the W.M.S. She was a former employee of Stanfield's Ltd., Truro, where she worked for over 30 years. She is survived by son, Robert Gordon Taylor and his wife Betty, Truro; twin daughters, Ann J. Rafuse, Kentville; Margaret Geraldine McLeod and her husband Kenneth, Abbotsford, B.C.; sisters, Bertha O'Brien and Charlotte McLellan, Lower Truro; Doris Hillier, Dartmouth; brothers, Stewart Ogilvie, Amherst; Alan Ogilvie, Santiago, Calif.; six grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her first husband, Samuel Taylor; second husband, Clarence Barrett; son, John Arnold Taylor; sisters, Nora Jean MacLeod, Shirley Roy; son-in-law, Allison Rafuse; brother-in-law, Jacob Hillier. Special thanks to Janice and her girls at Munroe Lodge for the great care they gave our mother. Visitation will be held 7-9 p.m. today and funeral service 2 p.m. Wednesday, April 25, both in Mattatall Funeral Home, 55 Young St., Truro, Rev. Peter Reid officiating, with a reception to follow in the funeral home. Interment will then be held in Robie Street Cemetery, Truro. Family flowers only. Donations may be made to Immanuel Baptist Church, Truro, or Victorian Order of Nurses.
