Harold Deen Berry was born on June 23, 1933 in East Prairie, MO, to Ralph Lee Berry and Marie Huffman Berry and departed this life peacefully at his home on November 15, 2012.

At the age of 19, he joined the U.S. Marine Corps and served with the 1st Division Headquarters Battalion in Inchon, Korea.

He was previously employed by Pinkerton Security, Guardsmark, and right before his retirement, he was farm manager for Lipscomb Farms in Nesbit, MS.

He was an active member of Hollywood Baptist Church in Sledge, MS and most recently served as Quitman County Court Baliff. He was a member of The American Legion in Doniphan, MO and a board member of the South Lake Water Association.

In his spare time, he enjoyed hunting, fishing, reading, watching Nascar, working around the farm or on his tractor, and for the last several years enjoyed gardening.

He is survived by his wife of 32 years, Joyce Johnson Berry of Crenshaw, MS, and five children. Two sons: Jim Berry (Linda) of Saint Peters, MO, Russell Sinclair (Hollie) of Hernando, MS, three daughters: Bonnie Sinclair of Crenshaw, MS, Mary Cummins (Terry) of Sarah, MS, Carrie Dinwiddie (Michael) of Lakeland, TN, thirteen grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Ralph and Marie Berry, his brother, James Edward Berry, his sister, Bonnie Sunkin, and a son Harold Deen Berry, Jr.
Also surviving Harold is his loving pet, "Chomper".

Burial will be in Longtown Cemetery.

Wells Funeral Home in Batesville, MS is in charge of arrangements.
