Elmeda was born Jul 1855 in Missouri probably Dallas co. to Francis Marion Scott and Mary White Hayes. She married Thomas Edwin Proctor 21 Jul 1873 in Dallas co. Mo. The 1900 census for Oak Grove, Oregon, Mo. shows her as a widow with 4 children at home. She then moved to Des Moines Iowa with her married daughter Susie Harmon. The 1929 city directories for Des Moines, Iowa shows her living at W. 63rd st. as widow of Thomas E. This was probably a nursing home considering her age. I do not have a place of burial for her.
Thomas Edwin Proctor died between 1890 when their youngest child Effie was born and the 1900 census.
