1917 - 2012

Ruby (Pyle) Drotos, age 95, of Temperance, MI, passed away peacefully Wednesday, November 14, 2012 surrounded by her loving family at her daughter's home. Ruby was born on August 20, 1917 to George and Cornie (Ramsey) Brooks in Harrogate, Tennessee. Ruby was employed for 40 years in the medical office of revered Toledo physician, Dr. Thomas G. Klever, retiring at 75 years old.

Ruby is survived by her loving daughters, Marilyn (Henry) Williams, of Nashville, TN and Karen Ilstrup, of Toledo; 7 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great-grandchildren; sisters, Gladys Fleemon and Beulah Clarkson, of Morristown, TN; brother, Buford (Vernice) Brooks, of Harrogate, TN; and numerous nieces and nephews.

The family will receive guests on Sunday from 3 – 8:00 p.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home, 4150 W. Laskey Rd., Toledo (419-473-0300). Funeral Services will begin Monday at 12:30 p.m. in the funeral home. Interment will follow in Roselawn Memorial Park, LaSalle, MI.

The family would like to give a special thank you to Dr. Rosemarie Osowik, Dr. Jahangir Adil and Hospice of Northwest Ohio, for all of the love and compassionate care given to Ruby and her family through this difficult time.
