Edward Smith
Edward W. Smith, 72, Michigan City, died at 12:45 p.m. yesterday (Jan. 11, 1988) at his home.
The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at Swan Lake Memorial Gardens Chapel.
Friends may call from 9 a.m. until the service Thursday at the cemetery chapel.
Mr. Smith as born Oct. 22, 1915, in Ware, Mass., the son of John W. and Anna Krzynowek Smith. On Sept. 27, 1937, in Ware, he married Julia C. Gondek, who survives.
Also surviving are two sons, Bernard Smith, Michigan City, and Robert Smith, Albuquerque, N.M.; a daughter, Mrs. Jack Stephansen, Michigan City; five grandchildren; a great-grandchild; a sister, Jennie Dant, Michigan City; and two brothers, Matt and Ted Smith, both of Michigan City. A brother, Stanley Smith, is deceased.
Mr. Smith retired in 1981 as a desk assembler from InterRoyal and was former owner of Liberty Bakery until 1952. He was a member of St. Stanislaus Church.
