EDWARD MINTON, ROYALTON DIES

Edward F. Minton, 74, of Royalton, Died at 10 p.m. Wednesday at Herrin Hospital after suffering a heart attack.

Mr. MInton was born Jan. 27, 1893 in Pryorsburg, Tenn., the son of Thomas and Nan Long Minton. He married Agnes Dana in 1913. A resident of Royalton the past 50 years, he was a retired miner who last worked at the Franklin County Coal Corp. Mine No. 7 in Royalton. He was a member of the Pentecostal Church of Creek Nation, north of Ziegler.

He leaves his wife, Agnes; a daughter, Mrs. Mildred Knox of Edwardsville; a foster son, Kenneth Dilbeck of Marion; sisters Mrs. Beulah Johnson of Hackett, Ark., Mrs. Virginia Rains of Christopher and Mrs. Rose Vorden of Santa Ana, Calif.; brothers, Charles of Michigan and W.H. Minton of Santa Ana, Calif.; and two grandchildren.

Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at teh Moeller Funeral Home, Royalton. The Rev. Dallas McCoy will officiate. Burial will be in Miners Cemetery, Royalton. Friends may call at the funeral home after 1 p.m. Friday
