Francis Parker was ordained into the Ministry by Bishop Francis Asbury on 12 December 1793. His ordination parchment is housed in Texas. The parchment was most likely taken to Texas by family members who moved west after the American Revolution. We know that Bishop Francis Asbury did conduct church services in Bladen, Robeson, Sampson and many other counties in NC.
Francis Parker's Will is recorded in WB I page 253 Robeson Co., NC. It was written 20 Jan 1830 and probated in May of that same year. Both Francis Parker and his father, John Parker, and brothers William & Luke Parker are established DAR Patriots.

Rev. Francis Parker(1765 Sampson Co.-1830 Robeson Co.). married Sarah Regan on 5 Jan 1797(Robeson Co., NC Marriage Bond) . They had 6 children:
1.Mary Ann Parker(1798 - c. 1817 ) m. 1st cousin Ralph Regan, Sr. s/o Joseph & 1st wife Doretha Regan.
2.Martha Parker ( 1799 - c. 1870 ) m. William Byrd(c.1785-1840)Robeson Co., NC
3. Ralph Regan Parker ( 1802-1861 Houston Co., Texas ) m. Catherine Shaw; Sarah C. Hodges
4. Emelia Parker ( 1804 - 1862) m. Henry Hilburn
5. Harriet Parker ( 1809 - 1883 Montgomery, Ala. ) m. Owen Singletary son of Ithamar & Ann Bryan Singletary.
6. Sarah Regan Parker ( 1812 - 1879 Rankin Co., MS. ) m. John H. Singletary(1805 Bladen-1885 Texas).

Francis Parker was one of 11 known children born to John Parker and wife Rachel Sessums Parker. The following children were copied from John Parker's Will written 23 April 1800 and on file at NC Archives.{C.R.087.01.14}.

note: Sarah Parker who married Thomas Owen may have been a daughter, but not named in Will.
