Dora V. Padilla July 9, 1928 - Sept. 19, 2012 Former Rodeo Resident At the age of 84, Dora Villalobos Padilla passed peacefully into the arms of Jesus after a long bout with rheumatoid arthritis and Alzheimer's. Born in Tormey, CA, Dora lived the majority of her life in Rodeo, with the last 5 years in San Jose. In 1945 Dora married the love of her life, Ernie, and they celebrated 61 years together before Ernie's passing. Dora is survived by two children, Shirley Ann (Rob) Reynolds and Rodney (Carol) Padilla. Her son Sonny predeceased her. Dora regularly boasted about her 5 grandchildren: Darren (Suzanne) Hutchins, Daniel (Mieke) Hutchins and David Hutchins, Sarah & Ashley Padilla; 2 great-granddaughters, Ava & Elisabeth Hutchins; 2 step-granddaughters, Erin Hopper & Katie Feenstra; and 2 step-great-granddaughters, Rylee Hopper and Teya Feenstra. She is survived by her sister Hortense Villalobos, and brother William Villalobos. As a homemaker, Dora dedicated her life to her family. She was a loving and selfless grandmother who decorated her home with countless pictures of her family. Dora's unconditional love was felt by everyone. Wonderful hostess that she was, any get-together she and Ernie had was always filled with fun, delicious food, and great memories.
