New Berlin-A funeral for Frederick D. Adams, 13 South Main St., was scheduled for 2 p.m. today at the Dakin Funeral Home with the Rev. Donald L. Aubrey, pastor of the First Baptist Church, officiating.

Burial is to be in Fairview Cemetery, New Berlin.

Mr. Adams died Saturday (August 26, 1978) at Chenango Memorial Hospital after a long illness. He was 78.

He had been employed as custodian at the Masonic Temple in Utica and was a member of the First Baptist Church of New Berlin.

Born Aug. 27, 1899, in Oneonta, he was the son of William J and Adelaide (Campbell) Adams.

In November 1924 he married Bertha Matteson, who died Dec 1973. On May 17, 1975, he married Martha Prosser who survives. He is also survived by a daughter, Mrs. Joseph (Evelyn) Kolba of Chadwick's, and 10 grandchildren and 30 great grandchildren. (He was also survived by 7 stepchildren).
