Barbara E. Buffum, 82, of Kokomo, formerly of Galveston, passed away at 10:25 p.m. Monday, Nov. 12, 2012 at Fairmont Rehab Center in Kokomo. Born Nov. 15, 1929, in Kokomo, she was the daughter of Frances May (Green) Martin and Albert R. Martin. She worked as a licensed practical nurse (LPN ) for several years, and attended the Kokomo School of Practical Nursing. She was a Pythian Sister and was active in PTA with her children. She was a former member of Galveston Baptist Church and had attended Walton Christian Church. She loved working with stained glass, cooking, crochet and sewing

Surviving are sons, Monty and Belinda Buffum, Kokomo, and Tim and Karen Buffum, Logansport, and Brad and Peggy Buffum, Galveston; a daughter, Leisa Ann and Jeff Carver, Galveston; 9 Grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren; and a brother, Billy Martin, Florida. She was preceded in death by her parents, and former husband, Billy G. Buffum.

Services are 1 p.m. Saturday at Murray Weaver Funeral Home in Galveston, with Pastor Daisok Panmei officiating. Entombment will follow at Sunset Memory Gardens, Chapel of Peace in Kokomo. Friends may call from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Friday at Murray Weaver Funeral Home in Galveston
