Fatal Accident - We learn from the "News" that on thursday of last week, ELMER BOWERS, son of Daniel Bowers of Sharpsburg, was thrown from a mule at Lock No. 69 on the C&O Canal, and in falling he struck upon the lock wall and sustained such injuries as rendered him insensible. From the wall he rolled into the canal at the mouth of the lock and when taken out was dead.
His remains were brought to Sharpsburg on Wednesday and the next day interred.
