Jerusha Adams Jones Southwick was born in Kentucky Aug. 29th, 1834 and came with her parents to Missouri in early childhood. She was first married to Dr. James Jones, who died in 1875. She was again married to Hosea Southwick in August 1877. Sister Southwick professed religion and united with the Baptist church in 1867 and remained a consistent member till the day of her death. She died at her home in Ozark, Sept. 6th, 1903. She was kind to all. In the absence of her pastor, the writer preached her funeral. We laid her body to rest in the Ozark cemetery September 7, 1903.
