Daughter of Isaac Wilbur & Lottie Ann Cornelia (COMER) BROOKS. Married 21 DEC 1912 to James Butler KING. Mother of at least two children.

"Mrs. Maude KING, 66, 3822 Howard Ave., died at 1:55 p.m. Wednesday at The Medical Center, after a long illness. // Mrs. KING was born here April 12, 1897, a daughter of the late Isaac W. and Lottie A. COMER BROOKS. She was the widow of James B. KING. // She was a member of East Highlands Primitive Baptist Church. // Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Marie K. HUTCHERSON and Mrs. Bessie K. SWAIN, both of Columbus; two sisters, Miss Mamie Agnes BROOKS and Mrs. J. C. LEE, both of Columbus; a brother, W. I. BROOKS, Freeport, Ill.; four grandchildren; four great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews....Funeral services for Mrs. Maude KING will be held Friday 4 p.m. from Striffler-Hamby Chapel, with Elder Herbert L. CHAPMAN officiating. Entombment will be in the Mausoleum, Parkhill Cemetery. The following gentlemen will serve as active pallbearers: Joe WILLIS, Will WILLIS, Lamar HUGHES, Jack SWAIM, Donald LEE and Anson HARGROVE; honorary: Dr. W. R. SNELLING, Dr. Clarence C. BUTLER, C.
