She was born on April 1, 1913 in Ilion, the daughter of the late Ernest and Anna Alfsen MacRorie.
Louise was employed at Clyde Bank Knitting Mill in Fort Plain, Arkel & Smith Bag Factory in Canajoharie and lastly at Robison & Smith. She was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary in Gloversville and the Mayfield United Methodist Church.
Survivors include one son Elton Brownell of Johnstown, one daughter Adeline (Wilfred) Brownell Bowley of Florida; six grandchildren Barbara Petrones, Ellen Anadio, Elaine Augustine, Roger Bowley, Terry Ann Wilson and Richard Bowley; fourteen great grandchildren; nine great great grandchildren and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her loving husband Russell Shibley, three siblings, four grandchildren, one great grandchild and one great great grandchild.
