LOIS C. STALEY (NEE LAMBROS) WHITING, IN Lois C. Staley (nee Lambros),age 84, of Whiting, passed away peacefully, Wednesday, December 10, 2008 at the Care Center of Hartsfield Village, Munster. She was the cherished sister of Bill (Ann) Lambros of California; dearest aunt of many nieces and nephews, dear cousins and many extended family members and friends. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Kenneth J. Staley; their only child, Brandt Staley; sisters, Lorraine Russman and Dorothy Badten; brother-in-law, George Badten; and sister-in-law, Carol Muldoon Lambros. A Memorial Mass will be offered on Friday, January 16, 2009 at 10:00 a.m. at Sacred Heart Church, 118th Street & LaPorte Ave., Whiting, with the Rev. Stanley J. Dominik, officiating. Interment of cremains at Chapel Lawn Memorial Gardens, Schererville. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to the Baran Funeral Home, 1235-119th Street, Whiting, IN. Lois Staley was born on May 7, 1924 in South Chicago to William and Mildred (Vaughn) Lambros and was a longtime resident of Whiting. She married Kenneth Staley on June 4, 1949 at St. Joseph Church in Hammond and was a former employee of the Hammond-Whiting Care Center. The family wishes to express their gratitude to all the staff at Hartsfield Village for the loving care afforded to Lois during her stay. In lieu of flowers, memorials to Fr. Blaney's Share Foundation for the Handicapped, P.O. Box 400, Rolling Prairie, IN 46371, would be appreciated. (219) 659-4400.
