Mrs. N. C. Lack Passes Following Brief Illness
Funeral services for Mrs. N C. (Naoma) Lack of the Shady Grove community, were conducted from the Sharon Presbyterian Church at 2 o'clock Monday afternoon with Rev. B. L. Roberts officiating, assisted by Rev. Whittington. Interment followed in Sharon cemetery with the Mims Mitchell Funeral Home in charge.
Mrs. Lack, a native and life long resident of Smith County passed away at her residence on Sunday following a brief illness of 2 weeks. She was a member of the Shady Grove Church of God and was 89 years of age at her death.
Survivors include 3 sons, James A. White, Chester Write (sic White) and D. M. Lack, all of Magee; 3 daughters, Mrs. Hermon Johnson, Raleigh; Mrs. H. H. Cole, Mize; Mrs. Dot Givens, Magee; 1 brother, Andrew Rankin, Monroe, La.; 1 sister, Mrs. Wilson Mangum Bay Springs; 23 grand children.
