-- Vaun Taylor Floyd, age 89, passed away Wednesday, May 30, 2007 in Albuquerque.
He was born on December 22, 1917 to
Earl and Florence Floyd.
He and his family moved to Albuquerque in 1958 where he was a surgeon and active community leader.
Vaun served as a flight surgeon in the Army Air Force during WWII.
Dr. Floyd practiced Surgery in Boise, ID and Albuquerque, NM from 1952 until 1984.
He then became Senior Vice President of Medical Affairs at the former St. Joseph's Hospital from 1984 to 1996.

Mary, married 62 years, his

Barbara Chandler of Colorado Springs, CO,
Maryann Richard of Solihull, UK and
John Floyd of Fort Collins, CO.

Dr. Floyd was preceded in death by his

Memorial Services held Saturday, June 2, 2007, 3:30 p.m., at First Presbyterian Church, 215 Locust St. NE.
Graveside Service at Sunset Memorial Park.
