I have seventeen diaries dating from the late 1800's through the early 1900's in my possession from both Augusta Dodge and her mother Permelia Clark. She grew up in Chester and Springfield, VT. She was a member of the Mizpah Chapter Order of Eastern Star, W.R.C., Warren Pond Grange (Heidi (Stevens) Quinn).
Bob Nichols writes that she died of cancer, he thinks perhaps breast cancer but has no proof of it other than he is sure she did die of some type of cancer.
