Born in Adams County, he was the son of the late Edward and Sadie Taylor.
He was a veteran of WWII, serving in the United States Army. He attended Mountain Top Ministries in Orrtanna and farmed for many years in the Table Rock area of Adams County. From 1967 to 1976, he, along with his late wife, owned and operated the Mount Rock Inn in Centennial. He was also a former Butler Township supervisor.
He was the husband of the late Elsie Mae (Fleming) Taylor, who departed this life in 1985, and is survived by one son, Terry L. Taylor of Downingtown; one daughter, Nancy K. Noel of Hanover; four grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
He was also preceded in death by one brother, Arthur Taylor and two sisters, Catherine McCleaf and Blanche Harman.
