WATERTOWN — John Alan Ogren, 66, of Far View Circle, died Sunday, Oct. 28, 2012, at Waterbury Hospital as the result of injuries sustained in a motor vehicle accident.

John was born in Cheshire April 14, 1926, son of the late John and Evelyn (Robillard) Ogren. He lived most of his life in Watertown. He served in the Navy during Vietnam and had his own plumbing/water conditioning business, Water World Water Conditioning, prior to his retirement. He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in Waterbury, where he was a Boy Scout leader working with 11 and 12 year olds. His responsibilities also included maintenance at the church.

John enjoyed deep-sea fishing and taking part in turkey shoots. He was a member of the NRA.

John leaves three daughters, Rachel Sherman of Plainville, Michelle Noreika of Torrington, and Kimberly Cutzal of Virginia; a brother, Nils Ogren of Thomaston; a sister, Jacqueline Walsh of Wolcott; and 11 grandchildren. He was predeceased by a sister, Georgette Wight.

Funeral services will be held Friday afternoon, 1 p.m., at Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, 100 Williamson Drive, Waterbury. Burial will follow in Mount Olivet Cemetery, Platt Road, Waterbury. There are no calling hours. The Hickcox Funeral Home, 195 Main St., Watertown, has been entrusted with the arrangements.
