Daniel Robinson Backer, 51, passed away on Friday, Mar. 23, 2007, in Cape Coral. Daniel was born on Oct. 16, 1955, in Winston-Salem, N.C., the son of Richard I. and Faela Robinson Backer. He graduated from R.J. Reynolds High School in Winston-Salem. Daniel was preceded in death by his mother, Faela; his maternal grandparents, Dr. Samuel and Ester Robinson; and paternal grandparents, Louis and Mabel Backer. Graveside services will be conducted at 4 p.m. Tuesday, Mar. 27, at Hebrew Cemetery in Greensboro, with Rabbi Fred Guttman officiating. Hanes Lineberry Vanstory Chapel is assisting the Backer family.
