Ira Madden, 87, of 41 East Garber Street, Mount Union, died Thursday, August 19, 1965, at 3:40 p.m. at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Charles Owen, 11 Deerfield Drive, Owega, N.Y.
He was born March 17, 1878, in Orbisonia, a son of Enoch and Elizabeth (Book) Madden. He was twice married, first to Louise Delaney and later to Martha Clark; both preceded him in death.
Surviving are a son, Sherman Madden of Newton Hamilton and a daughter, Mrs. Charles (Bernice) Own of Owega, N.Y.
The deceased was a member of the Presbyterian Church of Mount Union and a member of the men's Bible class of the church.
Funeral services will be held Sunday, August 22, at 2 p.m. from the Clark funeral home, Mount union. The Rev. James W. Matz will officiate and interment will be made in the Mount Union I.O.O.F. Cemetery. Friends are being received at the funeral home after 1 p.m. today and until the hour of the services on Sunday.
