Warren (Coach) Wyble, age 97, of San Antonio, died Tuesday, October 6, 2009. Francis Warren Wyble was born in Leonville, St. Landry Parish, Louisiana to Joseph Hammie and Marie Irene Wyble. He moved with family to Port Arthur, Texas when he was eight years old. Warren attended high school in Port Arthur, where he was a star lineman for the Port Arthur Yellow Jacket Football team. He attended Lamar Junior College, Beaumont, Texas and St. Mary's University, San Antonio, TX. He earned a degree in Social Science and Physical Education from Sam Houston State, Huntsville, TX and a Masters Degree in school Administration from Southwest Texas, San Marcos, TX. He was high school football coach at Yoakum, TX, Livingston, TX, Fox Tech, San Antonio, TX, and Highland High School. He was Vice Principal for the San Antonio Independent school district until his retirement in 1977. He was a member of Trinity Episcopal Church in San Antonio, TX, worked for the youth group, served on the Vestry and was an Usher for several years; member of St. Mary's Athletic Hall of Fame and has a life time Achievement Award from Yellow Jacket Athletic Association, Port Arthur, TX. He was preceded in death by his son, James Ronald Wyble; four brothers, Cletus, Irving Sr, John M. and Aaron Wyble; parents, Joseph H. and Irene Wyble. He is survived by his wife of 70 years, Peggy Hudson Wyble; granddaughter, Loretta Wyble-Rives and husband, Donald; grandsons, Ronald Warren Wyble, Jordan R. Wyble and wife Lindsey, and Andrew S. Wyble; great granddaughters, Madison and Natalie Wyble. Visitation will be held Friday October, 9, 2009 from 7:00p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at Porter Loring on McCullough.
