Funeral services for Malta Gill Logan, 293 North Cross Street, Danville, will be Friday afternoon, 2 o'clock, at the Weaver Funeral Home. The Rev. George A. Harris will officiate with burial in the Danville South Cemetery. She died, Tuesday morning, in the Hendricks County Hospital where she had been a patient for several months.

A native of North Salem, she was born, Feb. 13, 1890, the daughter of William I. and Lydia Melinda Henry Gill. On June 23, 1917, she was married to James Claude Logan of Lizton who preceded her June 24, 1962. A graduate of North Salem High School, she was employed as a telephone operator prior to her marriage. She had been a resident of Danville for 45 years moving here from Bainbridge. She had a hobby of oil painting and baking wedding cakes. She was a 50-year member of the Danville Chapter Order of the Eastern Star, member of the Hendricks County Past Matrons and Patrons Club, Psi Chi Omega sorority Social Circle, East Center Home Economics Club, Modern Priscilla Business and Professional Women's Club and the Hendricks County Art League. A member of the Danville Christian Church, she was a past president and charter member of the Live Wire Class of which she helped organize.

Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Leon (Betty Jane) Martin, two grandchildren, Kathy and Kent Martin, a sister, Mrs. Glen Petty, all of Danville, and a brother, Brewer Gill, Indianapolis. A brother, Ora Gill, and two sisters, Beryl Williams and Mary Graves, preceded her.
