JUDY HOMRIG, 72, died Sunday Nov. 27, 2005, at University Park Nursing Center, Fort Wayne. Born in Muncie, she was a Teacher with East Allen County Schools for 26 years, retiring in 1994. She was a native of Muncie until 1957 and a resident of Fort Wayne since 1959. She was a member of Good Shepherd United Methodist Church, also Alpha Chi Omega Sorority at DePaul University were she attended two years of college. She graduated from Ball State University and recieved her Masters from St. Francis University. She was a great wife and a very loving and caring mother and grandmother.
Survivors include her husband, John G. Homrig of Fort Wayne; son, Al Homrig of Carmel; daughter, Karel A. Area of Springfield, Ill.; and four grandchildren, Ben and Kellie Homrig, Elena and Julia Ares.
Service is 11 a.m. Thursday at Good Shepherd United Methodist Church, 4700 Vance Ave., with calling one hour prior. There will be a luncheon and fellowship after services. Calling also from 2 to 5 and 6 to 8 p.m. today at D.O. McComb & Sons Maplewood Park Funeral Home, 4017 Maplecrest Road. Memorials to Alzheimer's Association of Good Shepherd United Methodist Church.
