Ronald C. Behm
Ronald C. Behm, 76, of Harmony died Wednesday at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center.
Born June 6, 1932, he was the son of Bryan and Ruth Walker Behm.
He retired from LTV Steel in 1985 after 35 years.
Mr. Behm was an Army Korean War veteran, serving in Germany.
He was a member of the Harmony-Zelienople United Methodist Church, a 50-year member of the Harmony Lodge 429 F&AM, a life member of the Harmony Volunteer Fire Department and a life member of the Break Neck Beagle Club, where he also served as president. Mr. Behm also was a member of the Harmony Borough Council, where he had served as council president, and he was a volunteer for Meals on Wheels.
Mr. Behm enjoyed boating and was a member of the Pirate Booster Club in Bradenton, Fla. He also enjoyed running beagles in the AKC field trials.
He is survived by his wife, Beverly Harter Behm, whom he married March 25, 1955; his son, Brian S. Behm and his wife, Brenda, of Portersville; his granddaughter, Dayna Behm of Pittsburgh, and a number of nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Mark David Behm, who was born in 1956 and died in 1959.
BEHM - Friends of Ronald C. Behm, who died Wednesday, July 2, 2008, will be received 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday at BOYLAN FUNERAL HOME, 324 E. Grandview Ave., Zelienople.
The funeral service will be at 1 p.m. Monday at the Harmony-Zelienople United Methodist Church, 123 N. Pittsburgh St., Zelienople. Please meet at the church. Interment will be at Evans City Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Harmony-Zelienople United Methodist Church or a charity of the donor's choice.
