Kenneth Stephen Bennett, 93, of Lodi, California died Friday, February 21, 2014 in Elk Grove, California. Kenneth was born October 10, 1920 in Schenectady, New York the son of Frank and Pearl (Yeaple) Bennett.
He worked as a mechanical engineer for General Electric for 38 years. During World War II Kenneth was a Lieutenant serving in the United States Navy. He was a master craftsman and enjoyed woodworking, and traveling worldwide.
Kenneth married Estalene "Faye" Harris on October 1, 1944 at the Norfolk Navy Yard in Portsmouth, Virginia. She died July 25, 2000 in San Jose, California.
He is survived by his sons: Daniel Bennett and wife Daureen of Lake George, New York, and Allan Bennett and wife Dorothy of Lodi, California; grandchildren: Corbin Bennett and wife Felicia, Ethan Bennett, Alexis Bennett and Samuel Bennett. Kenneth was preceded in death by his parents; his wife; 2 brothers: Arthur Bennett and Richard Bennett; and 2 sisters: Virginia Bennett and Ruth Bennett.
Funeral Services will be 2:00 P.M. Thursday, March 6, 2014 at Roberts-Blue-Barnett Funeral Home in Emporia, Kansas. Mr. Lee Hoskins of Emporia, Kansas will be officiating.
Interment will be in the Americus Cemetery in Americus, Kansas.
