Martha V. Derrick, age 83, of Nitro, WV, passed away Friday, November 9, 2012 at her home. Born April 19, 1929 in Charleston, Martha was the daughter of the late Everett S. and Eveline Summers King.

She was also preceded in death by her husband of 58 years, Ivy B. "Paul" Derrick;
brothers, Clifton, Ward, Clark and Clement, and Vestes King;
sister, Sylvia King.

She was a homemaker and member of Nitro Church of God. She was a loving mother and grandmother.

She is survived by
her son, Larry Derrick and his wife Debbie of Sissonville;
daughters, Pam Derrick of Nitro and Nancy Dudley and her husband David of Cross Lanes;
sisters, Arbutus Childers and her husband Howard of Nitro, Evelyn Harrison of Nitro, and Mary Boggess of Glen Allen, VA;
grandchildren, Sara Derrick of Sissonville and Jason Derrick and his wife Jennifer of Martinsburg.

Funeral service at Bartlett-Chapman Funeral Home, 409 Sixth Avenue, St. Albans with Pastor Robert Van Fossen officiating. Burial in Jonathan Derrick Family Cemetery, Sissonville.
