PFC Clyde Deaver Jr. was born in Calvert, Texas in Robertson County

He graduated from Calvert High School in Calvert, Texas and was a member of the Emmanuel Baptist Church in Dallas. Before entering the service Clyde was employed by the Gulf Oil Company. He trained at Camp Butler, N.C. as well as in England.

He and his brother Charles were survived by both their parents, two brothers and one sister.

**November 30th, 1944 is the date when all of their bodies were discovered. The actual KIA date is September 19, 1944**

SSGT, US ARMY AIR FORCES WORLD WAR II

Staff Sergeant Charlie H. Deaver, a B-24 bomber radar operator, was originally declared dead April 3, 1945 after being reported missing in action from a bombing mission over Northern Borneo.

His brother, PFC Clyde Deaver Jr., a paratrooper with the 82nd Airborne Division was killed September 30, 1944 in Holland.

Sergeant Deaver entered service in October of 1942 and trained at Scott Field, Ill, Boca Raton Field, Fla. and Bookley Field, Ala. before being deployed overseas in June of 1944.

He graduated from Calvert High School in Calvert, Texas in Robertson County and was a member of the Emmanuel Baptist Church in Dallas. He was 24 at the time he was reported missing

He has another Cenotaph at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery in St. Louis, MO
