WEAVER — Funeral services for Minnie Elizabeth Benamati, 90, of Weaver will be at 11 a.m. Monday at Anniston Memorial Funeral Home with the Rev. Keith Merritt officiating. Private entombment will follow in Anniston Memorial Gardens Mausoleum. The family will receive friends Monday from 10 a.m. until service time. Mrs. Benamati died Friday at Regional Medical Center.
Survivors include two daughters, Velma De Geronimo and Judith Getto, both of Weaver; three grandchildren and their spouses, Michael and Jana Getto, of Georgia, Mark and Staci Getto, of Weaver and Michelle Getto and Donnie Gilbert, of Weaver; four great-grandchildren, Bryn Getto, Hayden Getto, Michael Getto and Caleb Getto; one sister, Mae Bussnardo, of Bridgeton, N.J., and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Atillio Benamati.
Mrs. Benamati was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Vandergrift, Pa., where she had been a Sunday School Teacher and was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star.
The family requests that in lieu of flowers memorial donations be made to Leukemia Research or to St. Jude's Hospital, Memphis, TN.
