Born March 21, 1943 in Uniontown, PA, Barbara was one of four children of the late Donald and Edna Brill Reynolds. She was the beloved wife of the late George E. Vedrook for over thirty years, whom she married in South River, NJ on November 5, 1960. She had formerly resided in Franklin Township, Hunterdon County, NJ, Bound Brook, NJ, and retired to Delaware in 2009 and Florida in 2012.
Barbara loved cooking, gardening, doing crafts, listening to music, and watching the Food Network. She loved being with her family, and having fun with friends spending summers in Sussex at Tall Timbers; her summer retreat filled with fun, laughs, and excitement.
She was predeceased by her husband, George E. Vedrook, in 2000; two daughters, Theresa Vedrook in 1996, and Cynthia Vedrook Jenkins in 2002. She is survived by her daughters, Sharon Mauger and her husband, Warren, of North Port, FL, and Donna James-Vedrook and her fiancé, Guy Andriola, of Bound Brook, NJ; a foster son, Craig Cooper, of York, PA; her grandsons, Christopher Robert and Zachary Ryan Jenkins of Bridgewater, NJ; her brothers, John Reynolds (Lorraine) of Milford, DE, and Donald Reynolds of Seminole, FL; her sisters-in-law; Irene Sayers (Gary) of Cummings, GA, and Roberta Reynolds of South River, NJ; many nieces and nephews along with countless friends who were blessed to know her. Barbara touched the lives of so many people with her smile and generosity.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, June 11, 2016 at 10 AM in the Holcombe-Fisher Funeral Home, 147 Main Street, Flemington, NJ. Interment will be in Prospect Hill Cemetery, Flemington, NJ. Calling hours will be held on Friday, June 10, 2016 from 2-4 and 7-9 PM in the funeral home.
