Old Montecallo, Missouri established in 1855. The Evan Lipe family were one of the original
settlers in this town of 300 people. A creek was named Lipe Creek but was later re-named
McCready Creek. A Confederate town Montevallo was burned by Union Soldiers in 1862.
Henry E. Bankson husband of Emily Lipe Bankson was appointed Justice of the Peace at
Montevallo, MO on November 14, 1865. This is the last bit of information I have on my
great grandfather Henry E.
