Anton Besch, son of Michael; husband of Anna Kilser Besch, was originally from Austria-Hungary (now Romania). He came to America in 1906. He lived and worked in Pennsylvania in order to have his family join him.
Eight long years later, Anton, Anna and four of their five children ( Margaret, John, Joseph and Anton, Jr.) arrived by ship (SS Konigin Luise) in Baltimore, Maryland. They travelled to Pittsburgh and settled in the area. Their daughter, Elizabeth, followed the family to America sometime later and also settled near her parents.
