Elizabeth Ann Farris Guedry, 59, passed away at her home in Huntsville, Texas, on October 7, 2012.

She was born on December 10, 1952, in Liberty, Texas, to Robert Quentin Farris and Kathleen Kelling Farris, and grew up in Daisetta, Texas.

She is survived by her husband of 33 years, John C. Guedry; daughter, Sarah Holt and husband Lee; grandsons, Conor Holt and Luke Holt; brothers, Bill Farris and wife Carol, Mark Farris and wife Terry and Tom Farris and wife Bernadette. Ann was a devoted and loving wife, mother, grandmother and sister.

Ann was a Phi Beta Kappa graduate from University of Texas with a bachelor degree in German. She went on to Stephen F. Austin and received a master's degree in Education. She was a dedicated teacher and taught at Stewart Elementary School in Huntsville from 1987 to 2010. She had a gift to educate children and was loved by the children she taught and their families. She had a lot of friends that she taught with and stayed in touch with after she retired from teaching. She was an active member of First United Methodist Church in Huntsville helping out in church functions and Sunday school.

Interment will be at Guedry Cemetery, in Batson, Texas.
