Apphia [Affie] E. Nason was married to Frederick Charles Wickers on 01 May 1875, in Sacramento, California. Their marriage was published in the newspaper: Sacramento Daily Union, on 17 May 1875. Frederich became a Naturalized Citizen on 18 Feb 1861, in San Francisco, San Francisco, California, having been born in Holstein, Germany, in 1837. Her ex-husband later died in San Francisco, on 27 March 1913, of Lobar Pneumonia. To this family three children were born: daughter, Novilla Maude Wickers in Solano County, CA, on 01 November 1876; daughter, Henrietta May Wickers in Solano County, CA, on 20 November 1877; and son, Charles Frederick Wickers in Walnut Grove, Sacramento, CA, on 09 June 1880. [In 1920 U. S. Federal Census, for Port Angeles, Clallam, Washington, widowed, Affie E. Spaulding was living with her widowed daughter, Henrietta May [Wickers] Kelly, and her children.]

In December of 1892, in Walnut Grove, Affie and Fred were divorced for the second time over irreconcilable differences brought on by loss of good faith within their marriage. Their divorce was well published throughout it's time in Court. Source: Newspapers.com; newspaper, The Sacramento Daily Record-Union; article dated: Friday, 18 Nov 1892: page: 06; also, several other dates can be sourced.

By 1897, Affie had moved to Portland, Oregon and was employed as a corset maker. Her grown children appear to remain in California.

Effie's second marriage took place on 9 Oct 1899, in Colville, Stevens, Washington, to John W. Spaulding. [Their Certificate of Marriage has been posted here.]
