Mrs. Mildred Brannon Johnson, age 77 of Calhoun, Ga., passed away Friday, July 18, 2008 at Heartland Hospice Center in Cartersville, Ga. following an extended illness.

Mrs. Johnson was born June 20, 1931 in Gordon County, daughter of the late B.L. and Audry Shirley Brannon. She was also preceded in death by a son, Ricky Childers. Mrs. Johnson was a homemaker and of the Baptist faith.

Survivors include her husband, Jerry Johnson, to whom she was married for 41 years; sons and daughters-in-law, ...; sisters, ...; and grandchildren, ... Twenty-two great-grandchildren and nieces and nephews also survive.

The funeral service was held Sunday at 2 p.m. from the Chapel of Max Brannon & Sons Funeral Home with the Rev. Eddie Brannon officiating. Singing was arranged by Mr. Michael Johnson. Grandsons served as active and honorary pallbearers. Interment followed at the Haven of Rest Memorial Park Cemetery.
