Mrs. Clara Burge Harper of 8 Diana Drive, a retired teacher who was head of the English Department at Henderson Junior High School, died Tuesday.
A native of Batesville, she attended Batesville schools and received a degree in education from Arkansas College. She was a member of Alpha Delta Kappa and the Arkansas Education Association. Survivors are her husband, Luther E. Harper, and a sister Eula Burge Sherwin of Little Rock.
Funeral will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at Ruebel Funeral Home by Rev. John Wright. Burial will be at 2 p.m. in Oaklawn Cemetery in Batesville. Memorials may be made to First Baptist Church in Little Rock. The family will be at 16 Betsy Lane.
