Funeral service for Ralph Harold Tate, 69, will be Saturday, November 10, 2012 at 2:00 PM at Liberty Baptist Church, in Hartselle, AL, with Rev. Steve Hunt, Rev. Ralph Henderson, Rev. Lynn Harvel, and Rev. A. Ray Lee officiating and Peck Funeral Home directing. Burial will be in Pickle Cemetery in Greenwood Springs, MS, on Sunday at 2:00 PM. Visitation will be Friday, November 9, 2012 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Liberty Baptist Church.

Mr. Tate died on Wednesday, November 7, 2012 at Vanderbilt University Medical Center. He was born October 1, 1943, in Monroe County, MS, to Ausie Ralph Tate and Lillie Mae (Easter) Tate. Mr. Tate was a Chorus teacher for Brewer High School for 26 years. He was Minister of Music for over 40 years at numerous Churches throughout Mississippi and Alabama. He graduated from Hatley High School, Itawamba Junior College, B.S. from Mississippi State University and a double Masters from UNA . He was an avid supporter of Mississippi State Bulldogs and the Atlanta Braves. He was a member and Minister of Music at Liberty Baptist Church in Hartselle. He was preceded in death by his parents.

Survivors include: his Wife of 45 Years: Rheda Murff Tate, Decatur, AL Two Sons: Tim Tate, (Brooke), Mammoth Spring, AR, and Chris Tate, (Gina), Decatur, AL

One Daughter: Angela Hunt, (Steve), Warrior, AL

One Brother: Dennis Tate, Sipsy Fork, MS

Three Sisters: Twin- Carol Powell, (Kenny), Amory, MS, Shirley Bowen, Aberdeen, MS, and Joyce Berryhill, Greenwood Springs, MS

6 Grandchildren: Mackenzie, Taylor, David, Jonathan, Lillie, And Anna
