MRS. MARY A. ANSTICE, widow of Henry Anstice, died yesterday afternoon, at the home of her daughter, Mrs. T. Russell Dawson, at 357 North Broadway, after a life of 85 years, which she devoted entirely to the care of her family of nine children, and to work in St. Paul's Episcopal Church.
Mrs. Anstice was born on Oct 6 1817, in New London, Conn., and lived there until her marriage, when she and her husband removed to New York. About 50 years ago, Mr. & Mrs. Anstice removed to the house in which she died. Three of her children remain to mourn her death; they are Rev. Dr. Henry Anstice of Philadelphia, Josiah Anstice of Rochester and Mrs. Dawson.
The funeral will be held at her late residence, on Wednesday noon. Rev. William M. Gilbert, rector of St. Paul's Church, will officiate. The interment will be in the family plot at Greenwood. The services will be strictly private.
