James K. born about 1840 in Gallia County, Ohio; he mustered in on May 11, 1864 as a Pvt. in Co. F, 141 Reg. NGI, Ohio.
He married Jan 30 1860 to Elizabeth Monk, born abt 1843 in Ohio.
James K served at Mud Bridge, Cabell Co., mustered out 3 Sept 1864 at the age of 22. In 1883, he removed to Lawrence Co. in 1883-3 miles South of Walnut Twp.
By the age of 57 he was wholly blind and on 29 Nov., 1884, he applied for a pension, which was denied him. He died 24 Sept., 1904 in Lawrence County, Ohio.
He was buried in the Bethesda Cemetery in Walnut Twp., Gallia Co., Ohio. At that time, his widow, Elizabeth Bostick applied for a widow's pension, which was approved on March 17, 1905; she died March 4, 1905 and was never paid.

Children of James And Elizabeth were:
